$5K SunWatts Education Grants

MEC is proud to support local educators’ efforts in going the extra mile by using innovative ideas to help local youth learn sustainable concepts. The SunWatts Education Grant program, otherwise known as the $5k Education Grant, is part of MEC’s commitment to our community and is funded through REST (Renewable Energy Standard Tariff) program. Funds from the grant will be used to teach students about sustainability through curriculums designed and implemented by the grant winners.

The grant application is simple. Submit a short, written description of the lesson plan that teaches about renewable energy and include materials and a cost breakdown.

There is no formal application, so please submit your writeup to Mohave Electric Cooperative, Attention: Courtney Nixon, PO Box 22530, Bullhead City, AZ 86439 or email MECPA@mohaveelectric.com.

Application deadline is August 30, 2024 at 5 p.m.

“Mohave Electric is proud to support our educators in their goal to educate our young members about renewable energy and the effective use of energy resources,” said Courtney Nixon, MEC Energy Management Specialist.
