Mohave Electric Public Affairs Wins 2 Awards

The Mohave Electric Cooperative Public Affairs department recently won 2 Spotlight on Excellence Awards in a national competition conducted by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

NRECA is a national association of more than 800 Electric Cooperatives around the country with a mission of promoting, supporting, and protecting the community and business interests of electric cooperatives.

The team won a silver award in Best Series of News Stories. They also won a silver award for the Best Total Communications Program.

I want to thank NRECA for the recognition and thank, and congratulate, the rest of the team for their work in both projects,” said Allison Ellingson, MEC Chief Communications Officer.

Ellingson leads the team with Heather Foreman and John Pynakker as her Public Affairs Coordinators.

“I’m very proud of our Public Affairs team for this awesome accomplishment,” said Tyler Carlson MEC CEO. “I have known about the talent this team has and I’m glad that the rest of the co-ops around the country have now had the opportunity to see what they can do. I’d like to publicly congratulate Allison and her team for their awards.”
