Mohave Electric Cooperative supports veterans in many ways throughout our service territory. MEC provides financial support for a veterans’ wing of the BHHS Legacy
Foundations Christine Stamper Center for Help and Hope. MEC’s donates up to $30,000 annually to help provide a facility for homeless veterans located within MEC service communities who are temporarily without adequate shelter. This program and other veterans’ programs are funded by assigned capital credits.
MEC’s Solar Initiative for the Community provided funding for a $75,000 solar resource at the facility. This investment helps reduce the annual operating costs for the entire facility.
