Meet Mohave Electric Cooperative's New Chief Financial Officer

Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) is pleased to welcome Rohan Pease as its new Chief Financial Officer. Rohan joined the cooperative on May 11, 2026, bringing nearly two decades of electric cooperative and utility financial leadership to the organization.

As Chief Financial Officer, Rohan directs and oversees the cooperative’s financial operations, manages the accounting and member service departments, and ensures the accuracy of audited financial reports submitted to the Arizona Corporation Commission and other regulatory agencies. His role is instrumental in supporting the cooperative’s long-term financial strength while helping deliver reliable, affordable service to MEC members.

Before joining Mohave Electric, Rohan served for eight years as Manager of Corporate Planning at Trico Electric Cooperative. Prior to that, he spent 11 years with Arizona Electric Power Cooperative (AEPCO) as Treasury Services Manager. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Arizona and has dedicated his career to serving electric cooperatives and the communities they support.

Originally from Tucson, Rohan and his family relocated to Bullhead City in April. He and his wife have been married four years and have shared life together for 15 years. They have a 17-year-old son and two beloved dogs, both girls, a Havanese named Meatball and her lil sister, a Labradoodle, named Nuka (meaning little sister in Inuit/Eskimo).

Outside of work, Rohan enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and kayaking. Community involvement has always been important to him. He currently volunteers with the Mohave Sunrise Rotary Club and previously dedicated time to a community food bank while living in Tucson. One of the things that immediately stood out to Rohan after joining MEC was the welcoming culture and the people.

“Everyone has been incredibly genuine and straightforward, and I really appreciate that,” he said. “There’s a lot of hard work happening every day, but it’s also the most rewarding and enjoyable place I’ve worked because everyone is committed to serving our members and working together.”

Rohan also appreciates the opportunity to quickly become involved in the communities MEC serves. He credits Chief Operating Officer Jon Martell for introducing him to local leaders and organizations, including Mohave County Supervisors, Bullhead City Council, the Colorado River Republican Women, and Mohave Sunrise Rotary Club.

“Understanding the communities we serve is incredibly important,” Rohan said. “Meeting local leaders and learning about the issues that matter most helps us make better decisions as a cooperative. Our members are at the center of everything we do.”

Looking ahead, Rohan’s priorities are clear: maintaining the cooperative’s strong financial health while keeping members’ best interests at the forefront.

“My number one priority is keeping rates as affordable as possible while ensuring Mohave Electric remains financially strong for years to come,” he said. “That means making sound financial decisions, securing the right contracts, and planning for the future so we can continue providing reliable service at the lowest reasonable cost.”
