MEC Thanks Rep. Paul Gosar for Helping Moss Mine

U. S. Congressman Dr. Paul Gosar Tours Northern Vertex’s MOSS GOLD MINE

U. S. Congressman Dr. Paul Gosar shaking the hands of several linemen in front of the Moss MineJuly 8th, 2020, Vancouver, B.C. - Northern Vertex Mining Corp. (TSX.V: NEE) (OTC Nasdaq Intl.: NHVCF) (the “Company” or “Northern Vertex”) is pleased to report that U. S. Congressman Dr. Paul Gosar paid a visit to the Company’s Moss Gold Mine located in NW Arizona. The site tour was an excellent opportunity for Dr. Gosar to witness first-hand the construction of the Vertex 24.9 KV Powerline and the Moss Mine Federal Lands Expansion Projects, which are directly responsible for the creation of over 140 jobs and millions of dollars in economic activity for the State of Arizona.

Ken Berry, CEO of Northern stated “Congressman Gosar has always been supportive of our efforts in bringing the Moss Mine forward from an exploration project to become a producing mine and a significant employer. All of us here at Northern Vertex appreciate his contribution to the success of the Moss Gold Mine over the past 8 years. “

Dr. Gosar was accompanied by Tyler Carlson, CEO and Rick Campos, COO of Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC), and senior Vertex personnel on the review of the progress of the 24.9 KV powerline construction project. The 6.2-mile powerline will allow Northern Vertex to convert the Moss Mine from onsite diesel-generated power to utility grid power supplied by MEC.

The Company would like to thank Dr. Gosar for his recommendation that Northern Vertex consider the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Loan Program (EECLP) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a possible source of financing for the project. The EECLP provides funds to reduce emissions from generation of electricity and help strengthen rural economies through job creation for energy efficiency and conservation projects. Funds are loaned to the electric co-operative utility who in turn loan the money to their customer. MEC approved the project, provided technical assistance in design and permitting, and made the EECLP funds available to construct the powerline. This was the first EECLP project in the MEC service area but opened the door for applications for other projects in the MEC service area.

Dr. Gosar is Chairman of the Congressional Western Caucus and invited Northern Vertex to make a presentation on the permitting challenges of the Moss Mine Expansion Project to the Caucus. The resultant cooperation between federal, state, county, and city government agencies and other stakeholders in the NEPA permitting process enabled community-based solutions and timely approval of the MPO.
