High Winds Cause Power Line Damage

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ – On Wednesday, November 16 at 6:04am, 2,462 Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) members in Bullhead City, near Silver Creek, lost power for approximately forty minutes.

High winds continue to be a nuisance to MEC’s service area. This time, the wind blew an energized piece of equipment into another piece of equipment causing damage to the electric line. Crews deenergized the circuit to make repairs to the line and equipment, restoring power to all members at 6:54am.
