BULLHEAD CITY, AZ – On Thursday, September 17, Mohave Electric Cooperative, Inc. (MEC) held its 80th Annual Meeting at the Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse. The annual meeting brought together hundreds of Cooperative members and guests to celebrate the 80th anniversary of early members coming together to form Mohave Electric Cooperative and bring electric service to rural areas not served by investor-owned utilities.

Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) is pleased to welcome Rohan Pease as its new Chief Financial Officer. Rohan joined the cooperative on May 11, 2026, bringing nearly two decades of electric cooperative and utility financial leadership to the organization.

Every year, the Mohave County Fair brings together families, agriculture, and community spirit while providing local youth with an opportunity to showcase months of hard work and dedication. One of the fair’s most anticipated events is the Livestock Auction, held on Saturday, September 19, at 6:00 p.m. during the 2026 Mohave County Fair, which runs September 17–20 at the Mohave County Fairgrounds in Kingman.

I have the distinct privilege of announcing that after eighteen years of serving the Co-op and Mohave Electric Cooperative members, MEC CEO Tyler Carlson has decided to retire. Tyler joined MEC during a challenging time in the Cooperative’s history and has led improvements across virtually every aspect of the utility.

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ – Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) announces dates of their District and Annual Meetings. These MEC members-only meetings will be held the week of September 14, 2026. MEC holds annual district meetings for Board of Director elections and a large annual meeting to inform members of the co-op’s yearly activities.

Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) is proud to announce five student winners for MEC’s 2026 Scholarship Program. A total of twenty-seven applications were received, up from last year’s submissions.
