After eight years of military service in the Army, Ennes earned an associate of arts degree from Mohave Community College then continued his military career by joining the Arizona National Guard. He retired with the rank of First Sergeant after 22 years of service.
Following his military service, Ennes joined his family’s business in Bullhead City. After a longtime stint as owner of his own business and manager of a shopping mall in Bullhead City, Ennes has retired.
Ennes is active in civic affairs and has been a member of the Colorado River Kiwanis Club for 35 years, where he served on the board and as treasurer, secretary, vice-president, and president. He is also a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Board Directors Carlos Tejeda and Jim Ennes respectfully view the “Remembering Our Fallen” exhibit on its recent appearance in Bullhead City. Tejeda served in the U.S. Navy and Ennes served in the Army and Arizona National Guard.
The travelling photo display honors the sacrifice made by over 120 Arizonans killed in the War on Terror while serving in Afghanistan or Iraq. One of the fallen is Navy Hospitalman Dustin Burnett, of Fort Mohave.

The exhibit was hosted by the City of Bullhead City and was sponsored locally by a donation from Mohave Electric Cooperative. The Co-op’s sponsorship made it possible for the public to view the display free of charge.
“Remembering Our Fallen” was created by Bill and Evonne Williams of Patriotic Productions in Omaha, Nebraska in association with Bellevue University.
Mohave Electric Board President and Directors recently met with Arizona Senator Ron Gould to discuss issues of concern to electric cooperative members. Senator Gould indicated his support of legislative change to help Arizona rural electric cooperatives gain an allocation of low cost federal hydropower from Hoover Dam , and tougher legislation on crimes involving copper theft.
