Join MEC's "Call to Action" today!

Mohave Electric is asking our members to send letters to their state legislators to advocate support from the legislature to allow cooperatives to retain capital credits not claimed by cooperative members. Assigned capital credits are used for a variety of purposes, with the main goal of improving the quality of life for our members.

These could be as system improvements, where MEC re-invests those funds into new poles, transformers, etc., that would otherwise require loans for which the cooperative pays interest. They are also used to invest in our community, through programs that benefit our members like River Fund, the Northern Arizona Veterans Resource Center, MEC’s Classroom Grants Program and the Washington D.C. Youth Tour. They are also utilized in research and development, as well as education and electricity service support programs in our schools and in the community.

This process is as simple as connecting to a webpage, filling out your name and address, and sending the letters automatically.
